Dr. Christian D. Nilson is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist and has been practicing in Logan, Utah since August of 2008. He is a staff member and performs surgical care at Logan Regional Hospital, Cache Valley Hospital, Franklin County Medical Center and South Pointe Surgical Center.
Dr. Nilson completed his undergraduate training at the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mandarin Chinese with 2 minors: one in Asian Studies and one in Chemistry. He received his Doctoral Degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2002. Following graduation from medical school, he completed an Ophthalmic Pathology/Research Fellowship at the Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. He completed an internship in the Family Medicine program at the University of Colorado in Denver. Dr. Nilson then went to Augusta, Georgia, where he completed a one-year pre-residency fellowship in glaucoma and then his three-year Ophthalmology Residency training, all at the Medical College of Georgia.
Dr. Nilson has performed thousands of cataract, glaucoma and oculoplastic procedures and continues to offer the most advanced technologies in the industry.
Dr. Nilson is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, and the Utah Ophthalmology Society.
He finds his greatest joy in taking care of his patients and spending time with his wife and their six children.
